Abstract: | This research examines the effect of emotional intelligence on employee performance at Ethiopian airlines. Emotional intelligence (EI) is the ability to identify, understand, manage, and reason with emotions. It is an important skill for employees, especially in team-based environments like project management.The research aims to investigate the relationship between employees’ emotional intelligence and their job performance in Ethiopian airlines’ project teams.the research objectives are to: assess the level of emotional intelligence among employees at Ethiopian airlines, examine the impact of emotional intelligence on employee performance, and identify the specific components of emotional intelligence that most influence employee performance.The research will use a quantitative research approach, collecting data through surveys of members at Ethiopian airlines. The methodology will involve a survey of employees at Ethiopian airlines airlines to assess their levels of emotional intelligence using a validated measurement instrument.employee performance data will also be collected. correlational and regression analyses will be used to examine the relationship between EI and performance outcomes. The findings are expected to provide insights that can help the airline and other organizations develop strategies to enhance emotional intelligence and improve employee performance in project based work. The expected contributions of the study are empirical evidence on the importance of emotional intelligence in a project-based work environment in the Ethiopian context.overall the study aims to shed light on a crucial but often overlooked factor-emotional intelligence-that can impact the success of project-based work in a major Ethiopian company. |
