dc.description.abstract | The study was aimed to examine the effect of work life conflict on job satisfaction in one of
uprising industrial organization in Ethiopia. More specifically the study attempts to investigate
the impact of work-family conflict, family-work conflict, and work over load and job autonomy
on employee’s job satisfaction in the case of Maereg Business Group. In order to investigate the
study the researcher has used quantitative research methods that included a survey of
employees. Pertinent data were gathered via structured questioner and processed by using SPSS
version 24. The relationship between of work-family conflict, family-work conflict, work over
load and job autonomy were analyzed using reveal correlation analysis. Finally, multiple
regressions were done to understand the impact of work-life conflict, on employee job
satisfaction. The regression result shows that there is a linear relationship between the
dependent and independent variable. The result in the ANOVA confirmed the significance of pvalue
which is below the alpha level. The results showed that job satisfaction is negatively
correlated with work-to-family interference and family-to-work interference. Job satisfaction
was also found to be negatively related with work-over-load in this research. However, the
correlation of job autonomy is positive and significant. From the study results the researcher
recommends the organization employees to try and maintain a balance between work and family
life conflict, the organization should create a policy to minimize absenteeism, lateness and
turnover rates as well as improve workers loyalty, commitment and job satisfaction, more
importantly the management of the organization must proactively identify and understand
demographic and work related factors like age, marital status, gender, work hours/time
schedules etc. that cause work life conflict. | en_US |
