Abstract: The main objective of this study was to examine the effect of training process on employee performance in Nile Insurance Company. The research was in the form of explanatory and descriptive research design and used both primary and secondary sources of data. Population of the study was employee of Nile Insurance Company with total head count One hundred sixty (160) with sample size of 114by using simplified formula of Taro Yemane (1967) sample size determination that helps to calculate sample sizeand used stratified sampling design technique which helps to draw sample representative from population of the study. Researcher used questionnaire and interview method of data collection. Questionnaires were distributed to total sample size of 114; off which 78.95% (90 Respondents) were filed the questionnaires and returned. The data was analyzed using descriptive research method, correlation and regression analysis. From the descriptive analysis, all explanatory variables play a fundamental role for Employee performance in selected samples. The results of correlation analysis shows positively and significantly correlated with the dependent variable. The overall result obtained from the regression model indicates that Independent Variables (Training Need Assessment and Training Design) have positive and significant effect on Dependent Variable (Employee performance). However, Training Implementation, and Training Evaluation have no significant effect on Employee performance. Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended that Nile Insurance Company should follow systematic training need analysis to employees and strictly choose which training technique or design is more effective for certain training program to enhance employees’ performance.
