dc.description.abstract | Supply chain management is focusing on management of activities from raw material to final product and end user. This research paper is written to assess the factors or drivers included that are indispensable for any organization to increase efficiency in supply chain management. The Purpose of this study is to assess the drivers of supply chain performance and how MIDROC Gold can manage these drivers for its competitiveness. The study contains quantitative and qualitative approach. In first phase the study develop a blueprint to go throughout the study. In the second phase the study reviewed conceptual and empirical literature about the drivers of supply chain performance. In third phase firm specific data collected internally were suggest a framework to manage the drivers of supply chain performance. The whole finding regarding six drivers of supply chain performance that need to be managed to enhance firm’s performance; i.e. Facilities, Inventory, Transportation, Information, Sourcing and pricing were concluded. These drivers are closely related with each other and have a greater impact on organizational performance. MIDROC Gold need to find a situation where, both efficiency and responsiveness in supply chain practices are at average level to enhance their performance. This average level can only be achieved through better management of drivers of supply chain performance. Shortage of literature and empirical studies in similar area has not been as such satisfactory; this a bit challenging to the researcher to synthesize and/or substantiate empirical facts along with the case at hand. Drivers of supply chain performance, Efficiency, Responsiveness, Supply chain management, Supply chain performance are key terms in this study. | en_US |
