dc.description.abstractConstruction project planning, monitoring and evaluation have a major role in the process of construction project management. The aim of this thesis is to assess the practice of construction project planning, monitoring and evaluation in Army Foundation. Literature about planning, monitoring and evaluation was reviewed. Questionnaire were developed and tested before the actual administration. A total of 73 questionnaires were distributed as follows: 44 (60.3%) Military Members and 29 (39.7%) to Civilan professional engineers. About 70 questionnaires were received (95%) as follows: 41 (59%) from Military Members and 29 (41%) from Civilan professional engineers as respondents. A semi-structured interview was made and feedbacks were gathered. Data obtained from different sources were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative approach and discussed simultaneously. SPSS version 20 is applied for processing and analysis purpose. Based on the study an assessment of construction project planning, monitoring and evaluation practice of the Army Foundation. The study revealed that there are many problems in planning, monitoring and evaluation of Army Foundation construction projects. The most important were poor planning practice, absene of well organized project planning, monitoring and evaluation. Therefore, plans should prepared during the project mobilization time by considering risks, with the appropriate team members and planning software, reports should be evaluated on time and to resolve issues on time to complete the project on time,with expected quality and profit.en_US
