Abstract: | The study's overall objective was to determine the effect of transformational leadership on the Selamta family project's organizational performance. More specifically, the study was aimed to determine the effect of the dimensions of transformational leadership namely idealized influence, inspirational motivation, individualized stimulation, and intellectual stimulation on the Selamta family project's organizational performance. This research used a descriptive research design. The sampling method was simple random sampling technique. A sample of one hundred eighty five was selected out of the total population. Primary data were gathered using survey instrument. Secondary data were gathered through the review of previously established literature for achieving the research objectives. SPSS software was used to process quantitative data and analyzed via data descriptive and inferential statistical tools were used. The result of Pearson correlation analysis shows that there is a strong positive relationship between inspirational motivation and organizational performance (r = 0.619, p = 0.000), individualized stimulation and organizational performance (r = 0.926, p = 0.000) and intellectual stimulation and organizational performance (r = 0.803, p = 0.000). All the three variables of transformational leadership covered had a significant strong positive relationship with the organizational performance of Selamta family project. However, idealized influence does not have a statistically significant effect on organizational performance (r = -0.038, p = 0.605). Therefore, to increase organizational performance, leaders should focus on inspirational, individualized and intellectual stimulation dimensions of transformational leadership. Moreover, the study recommends that Selamta family project management should continue to promote transformative leadership to sustain the exemplary performance in the organization. |
