Abstract: | The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of organizational factors on strategic plan development in the case of Debre Birhan industry and investment office . The statement problem of this study evolved on the fact that the industry and investment process as well as performance have suffered in one way or the other way from lack of or poorly developed strategic plans. The objectives of this study were, to examine the influence of organizational structure, organizational culture, leadership, and human resources on development of strategic plans. The study is focused on the Debre Birhan town industry and investment office. Previous studies were reviewed with the aim of identifying research gap and endeavored to fill the knowledge through this current study. This study was achieved by employing descriptive and explanatory research design. Target population is the employees of the Debre Birhan industry and investment office which were seventy-eight (78) due to this, the sample technique that the researcher used is census method. The research data was collected using questionnaires and observation. The data was analyzed descriptively with the use of analyzing techniques like inferential statistics among others of the SPSS and findings presented through tables chart and graph. In essence, the study established that organizational structure, organizational culture, leadership, and human resource have a great bearing on the development of strategic plans in the Debre Birhan town industry and investment office. |
