dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of employees perceived leadership style on employee motivation in the case of commercial bank of Ethiopia West Addis Ababa District. The study employed explanatory research design and quantitative research approach. Primary sources of data were used in the study. In addition, the study employed a Convenience sampling technique to collect data from employees of commercial bank of Ethiopia west district branch found Addis Ababa region. Accordingly, 163 questionnaires were distributed and 149 were obtained & used for further analysis. The collected data were processed using SPSS software version 24, and analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequencies, means & standard deviations), Correlation and regression analysis were used to investigate the effect on leadership styles on employee motivation. The finding of this study indicated that in CBE West District branch CBE employees were significantly affected by the transformational and transactional leadership style and it was found that Laissez-faire leadership style has no significantly effect on the dependent variable employee motivation. Accordingly, the researcher recommends that, the bank should determine the appropriate leadership style to implement for employees to achieve organizational goal. The leaders should lead as also by example in certain situations to provide as a role model for subordinates. Moreover, in the leaders in CBE should implement leadership style uniformity. | en_US |
