dc.description.abstract | The objective of this study was to examine the effect of internal marketing on employee’s job satisfaction in the case of Zemen Bank. The population of interest in this study was employees of Zemen bank operating in Addis Ababa. Four dimensions of internal marketing namely: training, empowerment, motivation and internal communication was the independent variables, on the other hand job satisfaction was the dependent variable. The study employed a quantitative study with explanatory research design. Probability sampling (stratified) method was used and employees were selected from each stratum with a random sampling technique. A structured questionnaire on five Likert scale basis was used to collect data and 199 employees were sampled from which 180 respondents returned fully completed questionnaires (90.45% response rate). Both descriptive and inferential (correlation and regression) statistics were utilized using SPSS version 20 to analyze the data. The results indicate that all selected dimensions of internal marketing (training, empowerment, motivation and internal communication) significantly and positively affect job satisfaction. Therefore, if the bank desires to ultimately provide a better service experience for their employees, it is recommended that more attention should be directed toward enhancing employees’ job satisfaction. by focusing on these four internal marketing dimensions (training, empowerment, motivation and internal communication). | en_US |
