dc.description.abstract | This study was conducted at headquarter of Salaam African Bank in Djibouti. The main purpose of this study was to assess the challenges and opportunities of Islamic at SAB. The research design used was descriptive research design and the research approach employed was quantitative. Quantitative research approach was appropriately used in the study because; mainly primary data was used and collected through questionnaire from the HRD in Salam African Bank. To do so, the researcher selected 111 employees from the total employees of 150 as a sample based on simple random sampling technique using lottery method. After the data were collected, it was analyzed in quantitative method of data analysis through the use of SPSS version 20 and the statistical analysis was made such as descriptive statistics, The findings of the study reveal that , the lack of expert that studies Islamic banking system was the highest challenges among other in Salam African Bank. However the highest opportunity was that Islamic financial industry is growing with the entrance of new Islamic bank and every conventional bank open Islamic window. The study finding indicated that most employees were not well trained, also findings indicating a weak level of supervisory and government support. The researcher concluded that the lack of expert and lack of awareness inside the society can restrain the growth of Islamic Banking System. Therefore the researcher recommends that: employees must be well trained to attract more users of Islamic Banking and they must be well known expert to studies | en_US |
