dc.description.abstract | The main purpose of this study is to assess the determinant factors that affect employee‟s attitude and behavior towards their organization in Commercial Bank of Ethiopia. This study deployed descriptive research method as well as both qualitative and quantitative research approaches. The researcher also adapted this research method and approaches based on their purpose to describing the factors that affect employee‟s attitude and behavior. The total population of the research is 14,768 including employees and the management staff, while 393 samples out of the population were taken to conduct this study. This study has descriptively analyzed the determinant factors of employee‟s attitude and is enriched by combining methods of research instruments such as questionnaire survey and interviews. An aggregate of 351 returned questionnaires were analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) version 2016 software. Furthermore, interviews with 5 Bank Management members were conducted. Major findings of this research revealed that CBE employee‟s widely held views that salary and benefit packages, succession and development, inadequate training, management related issues, working condition/environment; bank procedure and working cultures are determinant factors that affect employee‟s attitude and behavior. An organization cannot prosper well, succeed, grow and become competitive without adequately addressing and building the issue of employee‟s attitude and behavior. This study provides useful insights and practical implications to the management of CBE as a matter of priority, to formulate intervention and polices to that effect. | en_US |
