Abstract: The study aimed at exploring the impact of work life balance on job satisfaction in different branch of bank of Abyssinia within Addis Ababa. To achieve this purpose, explanatory study design was used to analyze the data collected through cross- sectional survey questionnaire from a sample of 293 bank employees. These respondents were selected using simple random sampling method and were stratified on the basis of branch grade. The data collected from the questionnaire were analyzed using Statistical measures such as Pearson correlation and multiple regression model analysis. The major findings of the study include low level overall job satisfaction in the organizations under study, two work life balance dimensions i.e., work to personal life interference, and personal life to work interference and job satisfaction were found to be inversely and significantly related. Positive and significant relationship was found between selected organizational factors and job satisfaction, among them working time arrangement and leave program and organizational support are substantial and significant predictor of job satisfaction. Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended that top management should realize the effect of work life balance on job satisfaction and should implement work life balance programs, practices and policies, and also it is essential that HR departments are responsive to the needs and constantly changing requirements of workforce and the effect of environmental issues in order to improve programs and policies of work life balance like locally attainable flexible work time arrangements. and to give more focus to WLB incentives and factors and suggestion for other researchers are also forwarded.
