dc.description.abstract | The major objective of this study was to determine the leadership practice and
organizational performance in Life in Abundance Organization. The research also
described the performance of the organization. The leadership theories and different
leadership practice and styles were discussed in the literature. This study used
descriptive research method. And to analyze the data collected for the study both
qualitative and quantitative research methods were used. Survey questionnaire was
distributed to non management staff and structured interview was conducted with the
management team of Life in Abundance Organization. Out of a total number of 46
employees in the organization, 29 respondents completed and returned the survey
questionnaires’. And five of the management team members were involved in the
structured interview sessions arranged. The result was driven from the finding which
showed that the organization performance is good but not to the required level due to lack of
suitable employees’ motivation mechanism, sound communication system, conducive working
environment and performance reward mechanism. Accordingly, it was concluded that in
order to increase the level of organizational performance of LIA, it was necessary that
leadership recognizes the needs of the workers, employ appropriate motivational tool
such as reward, recognition, training and promotion of staff based on merit and skills,
provide suitable working environment and provide an appropriate leadership approach
that will encourage free flow of information among management team, supervisor and
